Family
It's another year to thank God of His goodness, mercy and grace. He alone is worthy to be praised and He alone is able to do the impossible.
Family...what does it really mean? I am closer to my cousins than I am with my own brothers. Maybe because they used to bully me around, but come to think of it, it's probably because I have spent more quality time with my cousins who lived with me when I was in College. They saw everything - they knew what I did, where I went, what I went through. They saw me do all sorts of crazy things, and they loved me through it all. And even nursed me through all the bruises, literally and figuratively.
They cried with me and scolded me, they gave me food and even extra allowance. They were there even when others have abandoned me...
Now, my cousin was diagnosed with CA. We were devastated. I didn't know how to console her so I simply spend time with her and her family - listening, laughing, and eating...
Summers were spent in their house. I usually bring the kids to Manila to have a grand vacation. Sometimes we end up in Baguio or Batangas, which is a welcome treat for all of us. We get to spend time with other cousins as well and I get to meet my friends a lot.=)
How do you tell someone you love them very much, now that time is running out?
