Deconstructing Boracay
After many years of living in Panay Island, I only have this to say about it - beautiful. There are so many places unchartered that many have not seen or heard about. Indeed the Philippines is such a beautiful place.
Just over a week ago, I was back in the enchanting Island of Boracay. I tell you, it is indeed one of the best places I have been. But mind you, I never thought of it that way before.
In the few times I visited the island, the beach was nothing but clean. My, there were seaweeds floating everywhere - no even the kind that help fish grow. I feel it was more like green muck and yucky at that. There were just too many people going there and there was hardly any space to swim at all.
For the first time, I did enjoy my short trip to Boracay on September 6-8. There are in fact certain places in Boracay that are not overpopulated. In fact, at the time that I joined my cousin, we were practically alone in one side of the beach. Well, it was too hot to swim then and the fact of the matter is, it's not at all fun to be in Boracay alone or even with a small group (unless you are with your sweetheart and enjoying each other's company). Anyway, I am affected by what I saw recently, so just call this an unsolicited deconstruction of Boracay...
I feel much better already. Perhaps my mind is playing tricks on me again.=)
